New pain in the left hip, any ideas?

I'm pretty new to yoga and I've recently been given marichyasana B and at the same time I've developed a new pain the the left hip. It's also cracking when i move the hip outwards like in baddha konasana but not when I'm warmed up, only once I've cooled.

Could they be related? I mean, marich B and the hip pain. Any idea how to get rid of it?
